Year 2 Trip to Zero Waste Zone
As part of our inquiry unit "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" PHS Year 2 classes visited the Zero Waste Zone at the Waitākere Refuse Transfer Station. Students had a wonderful day learning about sorting rubbish properly, worm bins and how to make seed balls.
Since the trip students have been writing and asking questions about how they can reduce the amount of waste that they create.
